At MDM, we believe that giving dancers as many stage opportunities as possible will help them grow and develop. Dancing on stage requires a different skill set than dancing within the classroom... it requires dancers to manage nerves, remember choreography and utilize performance skills to entertain the audience.
It is on the stage where many dancers grow into confident, poised and excited performers!
We are pleased to offer all enrolled students two recital performance opportunities each year.
HOLIDAY SHOWCASE | PERFORMED ANNUALLY IN DECEMBER
Our Holiday Showcase takes place annually in mid-December. This recital features holiday themed music and costuming and is festive, fun and the perfect way to kick off the holiday season! Dancers are able to rent costumes for this recital from the MDM Costume Inventory. This helps keep costs low for this mid-year performance.
SPRING RECITAL | PERFORMED ANNUALLY IN MAY
Our year end recital happens in May and the theme varies from year to year. This is a big performance designed to give dancers an opportunity to showcase all of their hard work over the past year! We love celebrating the growth of all of our dancers during this recital and consider it the perfect way to end the year and jump into Summer!
Dancers will purchase costumes for this recital and will keep them at the end of the recital.
In addition to the two annual recital performances, our two speciality Companies perform different showcases and full length performances each year. These performances are open to the public and we invite all of our dancers to come and see these amazing performances showcasing our very own talented dancers.
Fall Ballet | performed annually in OCTOBER
The Fall Ballet is a special performance featuring classical ballet variations as well as original contemporary and classical ballet choreography performed by the members of the En Avant ballet company. It takes place in early October and is a wonderful opportunity to observe the emphasis on technique that is taught to our ballet students.

Company Showcase |PERFORMED ANNUALLY IN FEBRUARY
In early Spring, our MDM Competition Company performs a showcase of the dances they have prepared to take to various dance competitions.
